Blur Reunion To End After Summer Shows?March 4, 2009
Blur drummer Dave Rowntree has appeared to suggest that's the band's reunion could end after their concerts this summer.
The Britpop group are due to play a host of dates, including two headlining shows in London's Hyde Park in July. However, fans' hopes of a more long-term reformation could be in vain after Rowntree said he planned to return to his law career after the summer. The drummer is currently working at a legal firm in London as part of his training to become a barrister. "I only went along for a day but then they said I could go in once a week as work experience," he told the Independent. “Now I go in three times a week. Hopefully I can go and work there when I'm finished with the Blur tour." As well as their own shows, Blur will also headline the Glastonbury festival, and the T in the Park and Oxegen festivals.
