Guns N' Roses 'In Talks For Summer Stadium Tour'March 5, 2009
Guns N' Roses are planning a summer stadium tour, sources have claimed.
The band, who released their long-awaited album 'Chinese Democracy' last November, are believed to be lining up dates in the US. The band's manager told Rolling Stones that they had “some exciting things in the works”, but did not comment on the tour claims. “Axl (Rose, Guns N' Roses frontman) has been basically quiet, keeping out of the limelight for almost 15 years,” Irving Azoff said. “People think they know him but they only really only know what has been said about him by questionable people. “He is a good guy and often misunderstood - he is a professional who has worked very hard to build and maintain a high creative standard for Guns n’ Roses, which I support. “We have some exciting things in the works this year for Gn’R, I’m looking forward to it.” During his only official interview for the band's new album in February, Rose said there were “no plans”, but “talk” of a Guns N' Roses tour. “Management and our promoters are really excited with the offers coming in both here and worldwide,” he added. Despite being fifteen years in the making, 'Chinese Democracy' drew a mixed response from critics. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Guns N Roses Turn Down Glee Offer (19.01.2011)
