Akon To Write Songs For X Factor's Alexandra BurkeMarch 18, 2009
US R&B star Akon has revealed that he has been asked to write songs for X Factor winner Alexandra Burke's debut album.
Akon, who recently collaborated with past X Factor champion Leona Lewis, admitted that he was a huge fan of the show. "I love The X Factor and I love helping to break new artists,” he told The Daily Star. “To me, it's one of the most enjoyable and important aspects of my job." He added: "I haven't seen any of Alex's performances on the show, but then I hadn't seen any of Leona's before I worked with her. “I'm taking people's word on how good Alex is, like I did with Leona. "It was a really refreshing experience working with Leona as she's so quiet and calm." The R&B star wrote 'Forgive Me' for a special deluxe edition of Lewis's debut album 'Spirit' last year. Burke's as-yet-untitled album is due to be released in November. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Alexandra Burke Brother 'Is A Drug Dealer' (16.03.2011)
