Hot Chip, The Pipettes To Play Hidden Shows In LondonMarch 18, 2009
Hot Chip and The Pipettes are among a host of acts set to play hidden shows in London later this spring.
The nine gigs, in aid of the homeless charity Crisis, will also feature performances from The Bluetones, Dodgy and Bombay Motor Cycle Club. The venue for each show will not be unveiled until the day of the gig. Chief Crisis fundraiser Andy Page told BBC 6Music the mystery behind each show would highlight the issue of “the hidden homeless in London”. “Not those that you see on the street, but the thousands of people who actually move from day to day or live on friends floors, those that you don’t see,” he said. All proceeds from the gigs, which begin in May, will go to the charity. (by Jason Gregory) See also: New Order And Hot Chip Record New Song Together (05.10.2010)
