Rihanna 'Refuses To Testify Against Chris Brown'

Rihanna has reportedly refused to testify against her boyfriend Chris Brown, who allegedly assaulted her during a row in Los Angeles.

The 21-year-old singer is said to have decided against pressing charges after a reconciliation meeting with Brown in Miami over the weekend.

Prosecutors in Los Angeles will now have to decide whether the case against Brown is strong enough to proceed, The Telegraph newspaper reports.

Brown was arrested by police last month over an incident with an unnamed woman in a suburb of Los Angeles.

Although the identity of the woman has yet to be revealed, a photograph apparently of Rihanna, which showed the singer with facial injuries, appeared online shortly after the incident.

The case is expected to be brought before the Los Angeles Country District Attorney later this week.

Under California law, prosecutors can charge an individual with domestic violence, even if the couple has reconciled.

Brown has already issued a public apology over the reported incident. Rihanna has refused to comment.
