Radiohead: 'We're Considering New Ways To Release 'In Rainbows' Successor'

March 16, 2009
Radiohead: 'We're Considering New Ways To Release 'In Rainbows' Successor'Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien has said the band are currently considering ideas about how to release the follow-up to their last album 'In Rainbows'.

“We’ve got a few,” the guitarist told BBC 6Music. “The thing is with us and as was the case with 'In Rainbows', make the music first see what the landscape is.

“In a year’s time it could be very different.”

Radiohead won plaudits for allowing fans to name what price they wanted to pay for 'In Rainbows' when it was released in 2007.

Despite only initially being available online, the album still topped the charts in the UK and US upon its general release.

O'Brien, who last week confirmed work had begun on new material, suggested the group might decide against releasing a full album.

“We might want to release two tracks only so we’ll just have to see, once we’ve made the music, see what happens and decide then,” he said.

As previously reported, Radiohead are expected to announce a short series of dates to take place over the summer.
