Slash To Record Led Zeppelin Cover With Classical QuartetMarch 17, 2009
Former Gun N' Roses guitarist Slash is to record a cover of Led Zeppelin's 'Kashmir' with the classical quartet Escala, according to reports.
Both acts are due to enter an LA recording studio later this week after being brought together by Escala's manager Simon Cowell. Cowell is reported to have asked Slash to collaborate with the former Britain's Got Talent contestants when the pair met at a party last month. “He was looking for someone unexpected to work with the girls and asked if he’d be interested,” a source told the Sun newspaper. “He really liked the idea and jumped at the chance.” The all female classic quartet are due to release the track in May.
