Klaxons Asked To Re-Record Second AlbumMarch 12, 2009
Klaxons' star Jamie Reynolds has revealed the group have been asked to re-record parts of their second album.
He said the band's record label, Polydor, had deemed the follow-up to 2007's 'Myths Of The Near Future' too experimental. “We’ve been asked to re-record part of the album because we’ve made a dense, psychedelic record,” Reynolds told The Sun newspaper. “We’ve made a really heavy record and it isn’t the right thing for us - I understand and know that. “First and foremost, we’re a pop band. I haven’t thought about that for a long time, and now it’s in the forefront of my mind.” Reynolds added that the group have four weeks to finish the record, which is due this spring. Klaxons previewed a number of new tracks during a surprise gig in London last month. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Keira Knightley 'Dating' Klaxons James Righton (04.04.2011)
