Chef Admits Throwing Stones At Jamiroquai's Ferrari Enzo

March 4, 2009
Chef Admits Throwing Stones At Jamiroquai's Ferrari EnzoA 21-year-old chef has admitted throwing stones at a sports car belonging to Jamiroquai's Jay Kay.

Aaron Billington shattered the Ferrari Enzo's windscreen, causing an estimated £30,000 worth of damage, outside a hotel in Aldeburgh, Suffolk.

Prosecutor Robert Barnwell said the crime had been committed in a “moment of madness”.

"One witness describes the defendant as being arrogant towards Mr Kay. He later admitted in interview to drinking a bottle of vodka and being drunk prior to the incident,” Mr Barnwell said.

"Another describes him as being more aggressive as the evening went on. They also say that Mr Kay appeared to not want to speak to him."

According to The Telegraph, Jay Kay and two other people witnessed Billington throwing stones from the singer's hotel window.

The chef will be sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court at a later date.

Jay Kay refused to comment when asked about the incident yesterday.

The singer has an extensive car collection and has appeared on various car programmes including the BBC's motoring series Top Gear.
