Lily Allen Gets US Visa ReinstatedOctober 8, 2008
Lily Allen has revealed she has been granted her U.S. visa as of yesterday October 7.
"I got my U.S. visa today, yay!," the singer told People.com on the red carpet of last night's BMI Awards where she picked up a songwriting award for ‘Smile’. "It means I can go and tour there and finish what I started, which is something I've wanted to do for a while,” Allen continued. Allen was forced to cancel numerous tour dates and appearances in America, including the MTV Video Music Awards, due to her visa being revoked in August 2007 after an incident with a paparazzi photographer. The singer’s follow up to her debut ‘Alright Still’ hits record stores February 9, 2009. (by Victoria Tsigonis) See also: Lily Allen Responds To X Factor Judge Rumours (04.04.2011)
