Lily Allen To Replace Simon Cowell On The X FactorMarch 4, 2011
Lily Allen is in talks to replace Simon Cowell as a judge on The X Factor, according to reports.
The music mogul is said to be pulling out all the stops to secure the singer’s participation on the upcoming series. But Allen, who is on a break from music, is apparently not convinced and wants to continue her time out of the spotlight. “She doesn't need the money or the hassle at this stage in her life,” a source told The Sun. “Maybe in a few years' time when circumstances change she will be more receptive." Cowell is thought to be taking a step back from the UK series to focus on the launch of The X Factor in the US. Current judge Cheryl Cole is reported to be close to signing a deal to appear on the American series. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Lily Allen Responds To X Factor Judge Rumours (04.04.2011)
