Coldplay, Oasis, Muse And Metallica In Q Awards Face OffSeptember 2, 2008
Coldplay, Oasis, Muse, Metallica and Kings Of Leon will compete for the crown of best act in the world at this year's Q Awards in London.
Coldplay lead this year's nominations with a total of four, including a Best Album nod for 'Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends'. They have been shortlisted alongside Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Last Shadow Puppets, Fleet Foxes and Vampire Weekend in the album category. The latter three bands will have also all been nominated for Best New Act, as have The Ting Tings. The Best Live Act category sees Kaiser Chiefs, Kings Of Leon, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, The Verve, and Rage Against The Machine all nominated.
