US rapper Eminem is to make his long awaited return to music with new album, 'Relapse'. The rapper announced the title of his sixth studio album during an appearance on Sirius Satellite Radio. 
The Ting Tings have called for the retun of the Top of the Pops - and have offered to be the first band to perform on the show. The band's drummer Jules De Martino told Absolute Radio that the band would be prepared to “force” their way onto the programme. 
The Who's Roger Daltrey has slammed Simon Cowell – insisting the music mogul has done nothing for the music industry. His comments follow claims - since denied by organisers - that Cowell was in contention to receive the Outstanding contribution award at next year's Brit Awards.

US rapper Eminem appeared in public for the first time in nearly three years last night to launch his memoirs. The book, entitled Eminem: The Way I Am, is published in the UK on October 21st. 
The tracklist for Guns N' Roses new album 'Chinese Democracy' has been published online. The fourteen song list includes a number of the tracks leaked by a US blogger this summer and 'Shackler's Revenge', which is due to appear in the video game Rock Band 2. 
US R&B star Ne-Yo is to appear in a new movie entitled Venice Beach, it's been reported. The singer is also understood to be in talks to executive produce and write the soundtrack for the film. 
Kaiser Chiefs have revealed that their new album, 'Off With Their Heads', has won the support of US rapper Jay-Z. The band said the album had been played to Jay-Z by its producer Mark Ronson, who spent the summer touring with the rapper. 
Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has distanced himself from a campaign to have the band honoured with stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Rocky Dickerson, a life long fan of the band, wrote to each band member to request permission to nominate them for the honour. 
Nick Cave will announce the winner of this year's Turner Prize at a ceremony in London, it's been announced. The singer will present the award for contemporary art at Tate Britain on December 1st. Madonna and actor Dennis Hopper have both announced the winner in the past. 
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has revealed the band are planning a huge concert at Knebworth House. No date has yet to be confirmed for the gig, which is likely to take place next year. 
The director behind the video for Britney Spears new single 'Womanizer' has defended allegations that it copies ideas from one of the singer's previous videos. Fans have claimed that Spears' new video closes resembles her video for 'Toxic', which was released in 2003. 
My Morning Jacket has been forced to cancel their upcoming European shows due to singer Jim James’ stage accident at a recent concert in Iowa. The tour was scheduled to start on October 29 in Dublin and wrap up in Glasgow on November 14 but have no immediate plans to reschedule. 
Four Tops singer Levi Stubbs, a pioneer of Motown, has died at his home in Detroit. Stubbs, 72, who had been suffering from ill health, passed away in his sleep.
