Poison Star Bret Michaels Still Critical After Brain Haemorrhage

April 26, 2010
Poison Star Bret Michaels Still Critical After Brain HaemorrhagePoison singer Bret Michaels is in a critical condition in a Los Angeles hospital after suffering a brain haemorrhage.

The 47-year-old singer was taken to hospital on Friday complaining of a severe headache.

Doctors found bleeding onto the surface of the brain stem, according to Reuters.

In a statement, his publicist said Michaels was conscious and able to talk with slurred speech.

"Bret is a fighter and we are hopeful that once all is complete, the slurred speech, blurred vision and dizziness etc will be eliminated and all functions will return to normal," the statement said.

Last week, Michaels had his appendix removed during an emergency operation at a private clinic.

Although well known as Posion’s frontman, the singer is also famed for his appearances on the reality shows Rock of Love and Celebrity Apprentice.
