Dizzee Rascal: 'Brad Pitt Can Help Me Become First Black James Bond'April 12, 2010
Dizzee Rascal has said he would relish the opportunity to become the first black James Bond.
The British grime star spoke about the spy franchise after topping a survey to find the public's favourite choice for a Black Bond. Rascal was voted ahead of Hollywood actor Will Smith and Hustle star Adrian Lester. "I heard that this morning, I like that," the rapper told the News of the World. "Yeah, that's big, that's big. Why not man? I can rock a tuxedo. The whole nation's seen that. I've just got to get my lines right, that's all." Rascal joked that he could use his Hollywood connections with Brad Pitt – who recently revealed that he listened to his music – to land the role. "I actually saw him a few weeks ago at Claudia Schiffer's house - you know, yeah, yeah - so I might get that James Bond role after all, pull a few strings and that,” he said. The role of the infamous 007 spy is currently held by Daniel Craig. As previously reported, Lady Gaga is understood to be the favourite to write the theme for the next Bond film, which goes into production later this year.
