30 Seconds To Mars Resolve Rift With Virgin Records

April 30, 2009
30 Seconds To Mars Resolve Rift With Virgin Records30 Seconds To Mars have penned a new deal with their record label, despite the recent legal rift between them.

Jared Leto and co. were hit with a huge £30million lawsuit from Virgin last August after allegedly failing to record the number of albums stated in their contract.

The rockers hit back and considered giving their third studio album, 'This Is War', away for free in protest.

However, in a surprising turnaround both sides have now resolved their differences and are spreading the love.

Leto said in a statement: β€œIt's great to finally move forward and focus on what's most important to us all - the music. We are excited about starting over with the many talented people at Virgin/EMI, and to sharing our new music with the fans in the very near future. We will never forget the unrelenting support from all our friends, family, and fans around the world."

The label have been brown-nosing back, with EMI Music's President of A&R Labels, Nick Gatfield, saying: "We are thrilled to have set aside our differences and signed a new agreement with 30 Seconds to Mars."
