Amy Winehouse Facing Legal Action Over Festival No ShowSeptember 1, 2008
Amy Winehouse may face legal action after she pulled out of a festival in Paris hours before she was due to take to the stage.
Winehouse cancelled her appearance at Rock En Seine after falling ill at her home in London. Her spokesman said the illness had meant Winehouse was unable to travel to France. But a statement from the festivals organisers says they were given "no explanation of the exact reasons for her absence". And that he singer, who had been due to join the likes of The Streets and the Raconteurs, had pulled out at "last minute". In June, it emerged that the singer was suffering from traces of the lung disease emphysema after collapsing at her home. She was hospitalised again last month after suffering a reaction to medication. The singer, who is understood to be recording her third album, is due to headline Bestival on the Isle of Wight next weekend.
