Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, Jack White And The Edge Unite For FilmSeptember 18, 2008
Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, Jack White and U2's The Edge have come together for a new rock documentary.
It Might Get Loud unites the three guitarists as they reflect on their music career and explore each other's relationship with their instrument of choice. The movie, which was directed by Davis Guggenheim, has been created by Batman: The Dark Knight producer Thomas Tull Tull told Rolling Stone that no other movie he has seen “captures what is so transcendent about the guitar”. As well as following all three guitarists in their home towns, the movie also sees The Edge teach White and Page how to play U2's 'I Will Follow'. "It's very spare and punk, and Page is mystified by it. He's saying to Edge, 'Are you sure about that C?'” Guggenheim said of their recording session. It Might Get Loud premiered at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this month and is due to be released next year.
