The Rolling Stones Release Rare Song On Vinyl For Record Store Day

April 16, 2010
The Rolling Stones Release Rare Song On Vinyl For Record Store DayThe Rolling Stones are releasing a newly-unearthed song for UK Record Store Day tomorrow (April 17th).

The rock legends recorded 'Plundered My Soul' back in 1972 and it was originally intended to be a track on their classic album 'Exile In Main Street'.

However, it was ultimately axed from the record and cast aside in the recording studio for over three decades.

Just 1,000 7-inch vinyl copies of the track will be able to buy across select independent record stores on Saturday.

The Stones are just one of a plethora of acts releasing limited-edition 7-inches for Record Store Day.

Blur have recorded a brand new track 'Fool's Day', while The Beatles (with 'Paperback Writer / Rain') are also amongst the 12 acts on Parlophone Records issuing vinyls.

The Flaming Lips are also issuing their own take on Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon on coloured vinyl. Goldfrapp are releasing their latest album 'Head First' on cassette, while The Stone Roses are releasing an individually numbered vinyl album with gold foil artwork.
