Led Zeppelin Announce Robert Plant Replacement?October 13, 2008
Led Zeppelin have reportedly replaced Robert Plant with singer Myles Kennedy.
Kennedy, who currently fronts Alter Bridge, will apparently tour with Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham next year. Last month, Plant announced that he had no plans to return to the band after a newspaper claimed he had agreed to a new tour. In a statement, Plant said he found the constant speculation around the band's future “frustrating and ridiculous”, and insisted that he “will not be touring or recording with Led Zeppelin”. Calls for a Led Zeppelin reunion tour have been consistent since the bands reunion show at the O2 Arena last December, which attracted 1 million applicants for just 9,000 pairs of tickets. According to the Sun newspaper, the remaining members of Led Zeppelin and Kennedy have been rehearsing together extensively.
