AC/DC's 'Iron Man 2' Soundtrack Beats Paul Weller To Number One

April 26, 2010
AC/DC's 'Iron Man 2' Soundtrack Beats Paul Weller To Number OneAC/DC have scored their third UK number one album with 'Iron Man 2 – Official Soundtrack.'

The album features 15 songs from the Australian rock veterans' four decade career that provide the soundtrack to the Hollywood blockbuster.

The band, who previously scored chart toppers in 1980 with 'Back In Black' and 2008 with 'Black Ice', beat Paul Weller's acclaimed new album 'Wake Up The Nation' to the top spot by 3,000 copies.

According to the Official Charts Company, Plan B slipped to number three this week while Meat Loaf was the third highest new entry with 'Hang Cool Teddy Bear' at four.

The only other new entry inside the top ten was Kate Nash's widely derided 'My Best Friend Is You'.

Over on the singles chart, former X Factor star Diana Vickers shot straight to number one with her debut single 'Once'.

Usher's 'OMG' entered at two while Chipmunk's 'Until You Were Gone' was at three.
