Roger Waters Announces Pink Floyd 'The Wall' US TourApril 12, 2010
Pink Floyd's Roger Waters has announced details of a huge US tour, which will see him perform the band's hit album 'The Wall' in its entirety.
The concept rock opera, which was released in 1979, is widely regarded as one of Pink Floyd's most influential albums. Waters will play 35 dates across America, backed by a full band and state-of-the-art stage production. He told Spinner that he believed 'The Wall', which is one of the top-5 selling albums of all time in the US, was still relevant 31 years after its initial release. "This new production of 'The Wall' is an attempt to draw some comparisons, to illuminate our current predicament, and is dedicated to all the innocent lost in the intervening years,” he said. The tour begins in Toronto on September 15, and will call at venues in New York (October 5), Detroit (24) and Houston (November 20). (by Jason Gregory) See also: Pink Floyd To Reunite? (21.03.2011)
