Led Zeppelin 'Didn't Talk To Each Other Before Reunion Show'June 16, 2008
Led Zeppelin didn't talk to each other until ten minutes before they were due to go on stage at their reunion show last year, Jason Bonham has revealed.
Bonham took over the drum seat once occupied by his late father, John Bonham, for the show at the O2 Arena in London. "We all arrived separately and didn't communicate with each other until ten minutes before we went on. At that point I don't know what I was feeling," Bonham told Musician. "I was breathing deeply trying to keep calm. I knew I could do the gig, but could I do it when it counted?" Bonham compared the pressure he felt before and during the concert to taking every penalty in a World Cup final. "I had to shoot 16 times and get the goal every time,” he said. As previously reported, speaking last week, Bonham said that he would happily tour with Led Zeppelin “in a heartbeat” but admitted that it was up to the group's other members to decide.
