Gorillaz Unveil 'Plastic Beach' Artwork and Track-ListingJanuary 21, 2010
Gorillaz have unveiled the full track-listing, artwork and release date of their eagerly-anticipated third album 'Plastic Beach'.
Released on March 8th via Parlophone Records, the 16-track album features an array of special guests including Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg, Mos Def, Mark E Smith, Kano, Gruff Rhys, De La Soul, Bobby Womack and many more. The band recorded the album on a secret floating island deep in the South Pacific, a Plastic Beach HQ, made up of the detritus, debris and washed up remnants of humanity. You can see the modern-day Tracy Island on the album cover below. 'Plastic Beach' is preceded by the single 'Stylo', which was leaked on blogs yesterday, is available to download on January 26th. After the leak yesterday, Murdoc from the cartoon collective tweeted:“A leak! A leak! Plastic Beach has sprung a leak! One of those Russian pirates has put a bullet hole in my island!
