Rihanna and
Christina Aguilera's performances on the final of last year's
X Factor have been cleared by Ofcom.
The watchdog launched an investigation into the programme after receiving 2,868 complaints that both star's performances were too raunchy.
But Ofcom said neither performance exceeded the expectations of the viewer, despite coming before the watershed, reports BBC News.
It said Aguilera's performance escaped punishment because she was a singing a track from her film, Burlesque.
Rihanna's performance of 'What's My Name' was deemed "suitably limited", even though it "featured some gentle thrusting".
