Keane have scored their fourth successive number one on the UK album chart. The band’s eight-track ‘Night Train EP’ went straight in at number one on this week’s countdown. 
Heavy metal musician Ronnie James Dio has died at the age of 67. Dio, who replaced Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath, passed away at his home on Sunday morning (May 16).

Marilyn Manson is set to star in a slasher movie with his partner Evan Rachel Wood. The shock-rocker will appear in Splatter Sisters, the first of a movie franchise inspired by cult horror classics of the 1980s.

Music legend Tom Jones has announced details of his new studio album 'Praise & Blame'. The Welsh crooner teamed up with acclaimed indie producer Ethan Johns (Laura Marling, Kings of Leon, Paulo Nutini, Rufus Wainwright) for the record which consists of stripped down interpretations of American gospel, blues, traditional and country songs. 
Muse's contribution to the The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will debut tonight (May 17). The track, entitled 'Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)', will receive its first play at 7.30pm (BST) on BBC Radio 1. 
Ellie Goulding has announced details of a gargantuan UK tour for this autumn. The singer will play 21 shows throughout October and November including a two night stint at London's Hammersmith Apollo. 
The National have extended their forthcoming UK tour with an additional date in London. The band will now play Brixton Academy on December 1, as well as the previously announced date on November 30.
