Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty celebrated his prison gig at the Forum in London last night (May 13th) in the company of Amy Winehouse, Gigwise can reveal. The band’s show was the first time Doherty had performed since he was released 29 days into a 14-week prison sentence for probation violation. 
Amy Winehouse will face no further action over a video which supposedly showed her smoking crack cocaine. The singer questioned earlier this month after voluntarily attending a police station in East London. 
Muse Frontman Matt Bellamy has revealed that a recent experiment with drugs made him feel like he was in a Salvador Dali painting. Bellamy, who said he wasn’t in favour of narcotics, said he only took them once a year because the hallucinogenic trip "opens new doorways". 
Weezer have brought the US release of their new album, entitled ‘Weezer’, forward by three weeks. Originally scheduled for release on June 24th, the album will now be available from June 3rd. 
US rapper Nas has revealed that some of the tracks on his new album deal with how the world views America. The album, which is released on July 1st, has already drawn controversy because of its title, ‘Nigger’. 
Nate Dogg has hit back at reports that claimed the US rapper had died after complications arose from a stroke. A statement from the rapper’s manager Rod McCrew said the story, which appeared on Mediatakeout yesterday (May 13th), was a “vicious rumour”. 
Work will begin on a new multi-million dollar Girls School in Africa later this year thanks to a huge investment from Madonna. The school will be built in Malawi, the same country that pop star adopted two-year-old David Banda from eighteen months ago. 
The Long Blondes have been forced to pull out of the Insomniacs Ball, whick takes place later this month. The band, who have had to withdraw because of commitments in the US, will be replaced by Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong. 
US rapper Remy Ma was sentenced to eight years in prison yesterday (May 13th) for shooting a woman outside a club in New York. The rapper, whose real name is Remy Smith, was found guilty by a jury in March of assault, weapons possession and attempted coercion charges. 
The Pigeon Detectives are among the latest acts to join the line up for this summer's T4 on the Beach. Adele and Sam Sparro have all been added to the bill for the event – which takes place in Weston-Super-Mere on July 20th. 
DJ Norman Cook, who currently operates under the name Fatboy Slim, has revealed that he plans to retire his current pseudonym. The DJ, who is scheduled to headline this years Wireless Festival in July, said that after 11 years it was time for a new identity. 
Singer Duffy was sacked from a choir when she was younger because she was too loud. The singer made the revelation during a promotional trip in the US in support of her debut album ‘Rockferry’. 
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin says he has “absolute respect” for the way Radiohead and The Raconteurs released their latest albums. Over the past six months, both bands have chosen to challenge traditional release principals – Radiohead allowing fans to name a price for ‘In Rainbows’ and The Raconteurs dispatching ‘Consolers of the Lonely’ without a press lead time. 
My Chemical Romance will release a live DVD and CD package next month entitled The Black Parade Is Dead! The DVD comprises of footage from the bands shows in Mexico City and New Jersey last October.
