Aerosmith's Joe Perry Says Bike Crash Was Warning From 'Higher Power'July 23, 2010
Aerosmith’s Joe Perry has said he believes his recent motorcycle accident was a warning from a “higher power”.
The guitarist was knocked off his bike last Friday (July 16) while waiting at a traffic light. Perry was taken to hospital by paramedics, but was later discharged without serious injury. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Perry said he was concerned about the timing of the incident a week before the start of the band’s US tour. "I had visions of playing shows in a wheelchair," the guitarist said. "I think this accident was a power higher than me saying, 'Don't ride your Ducati a week before the tour, I'm just going to warn you once'." The crash was the third time Perry has been involved in a serious motorcycle accident. Aerosmith begin their US tour in Oakland, California tonight (July 23).
