Dizzee Rascal is set to release his first autobiography in October, it's been announced.

The 24-year-old rapper will co-write the book, provisionally titled The Dizzee Rascal Story, alongside music journalist Ben Thompson.

It is expected to lift the lid on Dizzee's life from his upbringing in East London to his recent commercial success.

The Dizzee Rascal Story will be published by Dirtee Books, a new joint venture between the rapper's record label Dirtee Stank and publishing house Canongate.

Meanwhile, Dizzee Rascal is set to play two UK shows with Lily Allen in Manchester tonight (March 5) and London on March 7.
