March 2, 2010
Hall & Oates Bassist Tom 'T-Bone' Wolk Dies Aged 58Hall & Oates bassist Tom 'T-Bone' Wolk has died at the age of 58, it has been confirmed.

The music veteran suffered a fatal heart attack at home in his native New York on Sunday (February 28.

In an emotional statement, Daryl Hall said: "To say that I am shocked is the ultimate understatement. T-Bone was my musical brother and losing him is like losing my right hand. It's not if I will go on, but how.

“T-Bone was one of the most sensitive and good human beings that I have ever known. And, I can truly say that I loved him."

T-Bone Wolk had been performing with Hall & Oates since their 1981 album 'Private Eyes' and served as a co-producer on some of their records.

He had collaborated with an array of artists over the decades, including Elvis Costello, Billy Joel, Bette Midler, Cyndi Lauper and Rosanne Cash.

At one time he was also a member of the Saturday Night Live band.
