Michael Jackson Children Vow To Spread His 'Message' At Grammy Awards

February 1, 2010
Michael Jackson Children Vow To Spread His 'Message' At Grammy AwardsMichael Jackson's eldest two children paid tribute to their late father at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles last night.

Appearing on stage, Prince Michael, 12, said he and his sister Paris, 11, were “proud” to to collect a Lifetime Achievement award on behalf of Jackson.

He also thanked the late singer's fans for “always” being there for him.

“Through all his songs, his message was simple: love. We will continue to spread his message and help the world,” Prince added.

Paris, who like her brother was wearing a red armband and pinstripe trousers, also revealed that the singer should have been at the event.

“Daddy was going to perform this year but couldn't,” she said. “Thank you, we love you daddy.”

Last night's ceremony also featured the first showing of a special 3D mini-movie of Jackson's hit, 'Earth Song'.

The short was originally recorded for his ill-fated comeback gigs in London last summer.

The singer died on June 25 – just weeks before the concerts were due to commence.
