Michael Jackson Family 'Planning Low-Key Burial In Hollywood'

July 6, 2009
Michael Jackson Family 'Planning Low-Key Burial In Hollywood'Michael Jackson’s body will be buried tomorrow morning (July 7) during a private ceremony in Los Angeles, according to reports.

The family-only interment is said have been scheduled for 8am – two hours before Jackson’s public memorial at the Staples Centre.

A police spokesperson told the BBC that a “family function” had been scheduled for Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood.

However, it has not yet been confirmed that Jackson’s body will be laid to rest during the ceremony.

According to RadarOnline, security preparations are under way at the cemetery, which is the resting place for such stars as Sammy Davis Jr and Nat King Cole.

The website, which maintains the star’s body will be buried at the site tomorrow, claims the location of Jackson’s grave is to remain secret.

As previously reported, thousands of Michael Jackson fans are descending on Los Angeles ahead of a public memorial at the Staples Centre.

Almost 9,000 pairs of tickets for the event were allocated at random via a lottery system on Sunday.

Organisers have urged those without tickets to watch the ceremony on TV.

But many wristbands have already begun appearing auction websites such as eBay.

Jackson died on June 25 following a suspected heart attack at his rented home in Los Angeles. He was 50.
