Kings Of Leon Become First To Reach Digital Album Sales Landmark

Kings of Leon have become the first act to sell a quarter of a million digital albums in the UK.

The group reached the milestone with their fourth album 'Only By The Night', which topped the charts upon its release in 2009.

Lady Gaga's 'The Fame' and 'Lungs' by Florence & The Machine are also enjoying strong digital sales.

Official Charts Company managing director Martin Talbot said Kings of Leon's success highlighted “the growing popularity of album downloading among music fans”.

As previously reported, Kings of Leon are due to play a one-off headline show in Hyde Park this summer.
