Foo Fighters To End Adele's UK Album Chart ReignApril 13, 2011
Foo Fighters are on course to end Adele's 11-week reign at the top of the UK album chart this weekend.
The US rock band's seventh album 'Wasting Light' is currently outselling the London singer's second album, '21'. As previously reported, Adele's album now boasts the most consecutive weeks at number one for a solo artist's studio album in chart history. Bob Marley and the Wailers' greatest hits compilation 'Legend' was the last album to spend 12 consecutive weeks at the top spot. Meanwhile, Glee's latest cast album is at number three in the midweek chart, while Alison Krauss's latest album 'Raising Sand' is tipped for a top-10 debut. Metronomy's 'The English Riviera' and 'Nine Types Of Light' by TV On The Radio are expected to chart inside the top-20, according to the Official Charts Company. In the singles chart, Jennifer Lopez' 'On Th Floor' featuring Pitfull looks set to lose its number one crowd to LMFAO's 'Party Rock Anthem'.
