The Ting Tings Ask Their Record Label To Drop ThemMay 21, 2008
The Ting Tings have joked that their record label, Sony BMG, should drop them so that they can get inspiration for a second album.
The band, who were dropped when they first started out, look set to take the top spot in the album chart this weekend with their debut LP ‘We Started Nothing’. Speaking to the Daily Star, drummer Jules de Martino said: “We ripped up the rulebook for the first album. “I think the second album will be really hard, so I’ve already asked the label to drop us again so we’ll have something to write about.” The band are currently number one in the singles chart with ‘That’s Not My Name’, which was originally released last year.
