'Diva Demands' Behind Michael Jackson Grammys No ShowFebruary 20, 2008
![]() Jackson had been due to appear at the ceremony in Los Angeles on February 11th to promote the re-release of ‘Thriller’ – which is celebrating its 25th anniversary. However, according to the New York Post, organisers cancelled his appearance because he demanded to be given a special, one off award. It’s claimed that the singer also requested a host of references to his nickname, ‘The King of Pop’, to be made throughout the event. To date, none of the reported publicity appearances which Jackson had been expected to appear at over recent months have proved true. As well as featuring the original album, the 25th anniversary of Jackson’s album also features new collaborations with Kanye West and Fergie. (by Jason Gregory) See also: |
