Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson failed to finish the London Marathon on Sunday (April 17) after collapsing shortly before the finishing line.

The singer was 24 miles into the 26.2 mile race when he had to be treated by paramedics.

Wilson entered the race to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. Band mate Nick Hodgson's dad was diagnosed with the disease last year, reports The Sun.

The singer had been keeping fans up to date with his marathon training on Twitter.

On the eve of the marathon, he wrote: "Is it too late to start training?" Wilson has yet to post since the race finished.
