The Strokes Invite Stephen Fry Out For A DrinkJuly 28, 2010
The Strokes have thanked Stephen Fry after he held an open discussion with fans in Australia.
The US band are thought to have been among the audience as Fry conducted the first of two seminars at the Sydney Opera House today (July 27). The writer and broadcaster is discussing his travel, art and TV experiences during the live tour. In a post on Twitter aimed at Fry, The Strokes said: “Our minds were effin' blown; we're at the hotel bar if you're of a mind to accidentally spill some vodka.” Fry failed to respond to the message, but did post a tweet about the show. “What an unbelievably lovely, gorgeous, adorable, heavenly audience,” he wrote. “Thank you so much to everyone xxxx” The Strokes are currently touring Australia as part of their comeback dates and are set to play the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on Tuesday (July 29). As previously reported, The Strokes new album is due to be released next year. (by Jason Gregory) See also: The Strokes Joined By Elvis Costello At New York Gig (02.04.2011)
