According to official midweek figures The Strokes' 'Angles' is currently at number two in the UK album chart.

The album, released on Monday (March 21), is behind Adele's '21' which has spent eight weeks in the number one spot.

Elsewhere, on the singles countdown, Adele's 'Somebody Like You' slipped to number two on the UK Chart as former Pussycat Dolls' Nicole Scherzinger's 'Don't Hold Your Breath' debuted at number one.

Meanwhile, The Strokes have hinted that they may release another album before the end of 2011.
