US rapper Jay-Z heads a cast of hip-hop legends on the soundtrack to the forthcoming Notorious BIG biopic, Notorious.

The album, which is released on January 26th, also includes songs by BIG, Jadakiss and P Diddy.

As previously reported, Jay-Z's contribution 'Brooklyn Go Hard', which features Santogold, was leaked online earlier this month by its producer Kanye West.

Notorious charts the rapper’s rise to international stardom, which came to a tragic end in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles in 1997.

Rapper P Diddy has acted as an executive producer on the film, which is released in cinemas on February 13th.

He said in a statement: "I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the team which brings the story of my friend, BIG, to the big screen.

"The movie is a mother's story and his mom was instrumental in getting this film made. 'Notorious' is a tour de force."
