Queen, Jimi Hendrix, Police Songs To Enter Grammy Hall Of FameDecember 1, 2008
Queen's 1977 double A-side single 'We are the Champions/We Will Rock You' is to be inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
'Synchronicity' by The Police and Stevie Wonder's 'For Once In My Life' are also set to join the elite club. As is Jimi Hendrix's version of 'The Star Spangled Banner' and the soundtrack to the movie The Good, The Band and the Ugly. A total of 28 classic compositions will be introduced to the Hall of Fame at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, which is due to open on Saturday (December 6th). The Hall of Fame, created in 1973, includes 826 recordings – each of which were chosen by a special member committee consisting of industry representatives and historians.
