Mick Hucknall To Replace Rod Stewart For Faces ReunionMay 25, 2010
The Faces are set to reunite this summer with Mick Hucknall replacing singer Rod Stewart.
The band will perform at the Vintage at Goodwood festival on August 13. Hucknall, from Simply Red, will join guitarist Ronnie Wood, drummer Kenney Jones and Ian McLagan. The singer made a one-off appearance with the band last year, and Wood said the combination “just felt right”. “It's exciting to be on this path again and I hope that the Faces fans are excited as we are - I'm just really looking forward to seeing them this summer,” he added. The Faces, whose hits included 'Stay With Me', split in 1975. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Rod Stewart To Play Hard Rock Calling Festival 2011 (07.03.2011)
