Portishead Reveal Details Of New AlbumNovember 30, 2010
Portishead have revealed plans to head back into the studio to record new material next year.
It has been nearly three year's since 2007’s ‘Third’, now the band are ready to begin writing again. "We're just finishing up some projects we've each got and then we'll look to start writing, a little bit separately and then together but it is pretty exciting," Adrian Utley told BBC 6Music. He added: "We've definitely thought about it and have had discussions about where we're going and stuff, but it's kind of early days and I don't think any of us want to really hex it by putting too many rules on it, which we often do." Meanwhile, Portishead will join The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys at next year's Benicassim festival in Spain. Tickets for the festival are on sale now.
