Phil Spector Murder Trial Delayed After Juror Falls IllApril 3, 2009
Deliberations on The Phil Spector murder retrial has been suspended until next week after a juror fell ill.
On Wednesday, an unnamed panel member fell ill with the flu, and now Superior Court officials have cancelled the trial for the remainder of the week - to allow the juror to recover. The panel of six men and six women have spent just one full day and two half-days discussing the case since it was handed to them last week (March 26). Music mogul Spector, 69, faces 18 years behind bars if he's convicted of killing actress Lana Clarkson, 40, in his Alhambra, California home in 2003. Spector's defence claim that Clarkson killed herself. (by Scott Colothan) See also: Phil Spector Releases New Album From Jail Cell (25.05.2010)
