Roger Daltrey Wants To Form Band With Led Zeppelin's Jimmy PageFebruary 22, 2010
The Who's Roger Daltrey says he wants to record an album with Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page.
The 65-year-old singer said he loves the idea of forming a supergroup and would ideally like to sing blues music. “I’d love to do something, I’d love to do an album with Jimmy Page,” he told BBC6music's Sean Keaveny. “He needs a singer to drive him. I’m a great blues singer. “I don’t sing the blues with The Who, but that’s what I used to be before Townshend started writing. I used to be a great blues singer.” Daltrey's Teenage Cancer Trust series kicked off last Wednesday with Depeche Mode's triumphant show. It re-starts next month with the following shows:
