The Beatles' Paul McCartney And Ringo Starr Reunite Onstage

April 6, 2009
The Beatles' Paul McCartney And Ringo Starr Reunite OnstageFormer Beatles stars Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr reunited onstage at a charity concert in New York on Saturday (April 4th).

In a collaboration dubbed “the next best thing” to seeing Elvis, Starr joined McCartney for the Beatles hit 'With A Little Help From My Friends'.

The concert, in aid of the David Lynch Foundation, was the first time pair had performed together in seven years.

Sir Paul headlined the event at Radio City Music Hall, playing a mixture of songs from his Beatles and solo catalogues.

In a moving tribute to John Lennon, Sir Paul performed the Beatles song 'Here Today', which he wrote after his former bandmate's death.

He introduced the song saying: "John loved New York. A song for John."

Other performers at the event included Moby, Sheryl Crow and Donovoan.

The concert aimed to raise more awareness to the foundation's target of teaching children the techniques of Transcendental Meditation.
