January 18, 2010
Sir Paul McCartney Jokes About Drugs At Golden Globe AwardsSir Paul McCartney presented an award at the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles last night where he joked about cartoons being for adults on drugs as well as children.

The Beatles legend was at the lavish Beverly Hilton Hotel ceremony with his girlfriend Nancy Shevell and presented the Best Animated Feature award to Up.

Coming onto the stage, he joked: "Hello, I'm Paul McCartney. Or as I'm now known, that guy from Rock Band."

He then spoke about his experience in animation with The Beatles cartoon Yellow Submarine and added: "But animation is not only for children. It is also for adults who are on drugs."

Leona Lewis, who sang the theme tune to Avatar, 'I See You', was also at the ceremony in support of the movie blockbuster.

Avatar was the big winner on the night taking home the award for Best Motion Picture, while James Cameron won Best Director.
