Madonna Drafts In Rage Against The Machine, Pearl Jam ProducerJanuary 7, 2010
Following her foray into pop-R&B on her previous effort 'Hard Candy', Madonna is now ready to embrace rap and rock music on her next album.
The 50-year-old singer has drafted in two very different producers for the record in keeping with unwavering eclecticism. First up is A-Trak - Alain Macklovitch – who has collaborated with and remixed the likes of Lupe Fiasco, MSTRKRFT, Armand Van Helden and Kanye West. He recently described his production work as “halfway between rap and electronic and whatever else I listen to.” Fingers crossed Madge herself doesn't choose to rap like on the hideous 'American Life'. More intriguingly, Madonna has also working with esteemed Brendan O'Brien who has produced albums for an array of artists including AC/DC, Rage Against The Machine, Pearl Jam, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen. The record, which could come out as early as this year, should be an interesting listen, then. (by Scott Colothan) See also: Adele's '21' Equals Madonna's Album Chart Record (28.03.2011)
