NME Awards 2011: Nominations

NME Awards 2011: NominationsFoals lead the way in the nominations for this year's NME Awards with five nods, including Best British Band.

The Oxford group are also in the running for Best Album for their 2010 effort, 'Total Life Forever'.

Arcade Fire have four nominations including Best International Band and Best Live Band, a category that also includes Biffy Clyro, Foals, Kasabian and Muse.

Other nominees include Arctic Monkeys, Guns N' Roses Axl Rose, Brandon Flowers and My Chemical Romance.

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl will collect the Godlike Genius award. The ceremony takes place at the Brixton Academy in London on February 23.
