Beady Eye are an English rock band that formed in London in 2009. Following the departure of guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Noel Gallagher from Oasis, lead vocalist Liam Gallagher decided to end the band and form a new one in its place, retaining guitarist Gem Archer, bassist Andy Bell (who switched to the role of guitarist) and drummer Chris Sharrock. Jay Darlington also joined Beady Eye as a live keyboardist, in the same vein as his role with Oasis. The bassist for Beady Eye is Jeff Wootton from the band Gorillaz.

Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher has insisted that he no longer has a relationship with his brother, Noel. The singer, who formed Beady Eye after the guitarist quit Oasis in2009, said his new project was his main focus and that he had no intention to reunite with his brother. Read more

Liam Gallagher changed hotels at the last minute to avoid a run-in with his brother Noel, it's been reported. The pair were both apparently separately booked to stay in the Hope Street Hotel in Liverpool earlier this week. Liam was performing in the city with Beady Eye, while Noel had travelled to watch Manchester City play Liverpool. Read more
